Comedian, Lavell Crawford is quickly climbing the comedic ranks and becoming one of the hottest stars in the biz today. He filmed a new one-hour special in his home town of St. Louis, âCan A Brother Get Some Love?,â and is on DVD from Entertainment One. In addition, he filmed an episode of âWorkaholicsâ for Comedy Central and heâs been casted in a recurring role on the AMCâs Emmy Award-winning âBreaking Bad.â If thatâs not enough, he was also seen as a regular panelist on E! Entertainmentâs âChelsea Latelyâ and a regular on âLopez Tonight,â performing in various comedy sketches on the show. From his numerous television appearances and as one of the hottest touring acts in the country, audiences are becoming increasingly familiar with Lavellâs giant-sized talent. Lavellâs stand-out work includes appearances on "Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam" which premiered on Showtime in December, âRussell Simmonsâ Def Comedy Jamâ on HBO, âShowtime at the Apollo,â âMartin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment,â âComicâs Unleashed with Byron Allen,â âSteve Harveyâs Big Timeâ âComedy Centralâs Premium Blend,â âMotown Liveâ and âBETâs Comic View.â In addition, Lavell has appeared in the films âBabyâs Mama Drama,â âBeverlyhood,â âGhetto South Problems,â and on the televised series âThe Jamie Foxx Show.â On stage, he played Ben in the hit play âMen Cry in the Dark,â based on the Michael Baisden best seller. Lavell also recently appeared on stage with the critically acclaimed production âFriends and Lovers,â a stage production based on the novel by author Eric Jerome Dickey where he played the scene-stealing Bobby.
